The Greatest NBA Duo Ever

Filed under: Michael Jordan, Sports News & Opinion — nbaspot @ 8:20 pm

MJ and Scottie Pippen

Magic and Kareem?  Cousey and Russell?  Bird and McHale?  Stockton and Malone?  Shaq and Kobe?  I don’t think so.  No duo dazzled the NBA like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.  In the 1990’s, the Chicago Bulls won 6 championships due to the dynamic duo of #23 and #33.  These 2 high flyers were the best defense players in the league and both could play above, below or away from the rim.  No other duo had the chemisty that these 2 had.  Check them out in action by clicking the video link below.

HOUSTON (AP) — The Detroit Pistons are scoring more this season, but defense is still their calling card. It’s also the reason they’re still undefeated.

Richard Hamilton scored 19 points and the Pistons survived a dismal offensive performance Friday night, beating equally cold-shooting Houston 78-70.The Pistons improved to 8-0, matching their best start since 1988-89, when they won the first of back-to-back NBA titles. If

Detroit wins at Dallas on Saturday night, the Pistons will match the 1970-71 squad for the best start in franchise history.

The eighth win wasn’t pretty.

5 LOS ANGELES (AP) – The NBA’s balance of power in Los Angeles seems to be shifting.

Led by Elton Brand, the Clippers beat Kobe Bryant and the Lakers 97-91 on Friday night.

Bryant, making some of his off-balance, high-arcing jumpers but missing more often, scored 36 points on 12-of-35 shooting.

The win extended the Clippers’ franchise-best start to 7-2 and was their third victory in a row over their city rivals dating to last season.
